A preface: In the summer of 2004, I received a call from a friend in the Midwest of the United States. The caller related a dream he had just had in which he saw me sitting on a German motorcycle with a sidecar. I was wearing a Nazi German greatcoat in the dream. My friend was convinced I would go to Germany and that God would use me to touch Germany in a definite way. At the time, I had no plans to visit Germany. But in January of 2005 while in London, England, I met a group of Germans who asked me to come to their nation to minister. In March of 2005 I was north of London and met an Anglo-German couple from another city in England. We later met again in Seattle, Washington before I departed for Germany in June. At that time I sensed that God was doing something unusual in my heart. In fact, my German friends and I were at lunch in Seattle, and when we prayed over our meal, a strong prophetic word began to flow concerning Germany. When I arrived in Germany, God gave me the word for the nation below.

Before I heard this word, one day as we were driving through Germany, I related the story of my friend's dream to an American pastor who was traveling with me. As I was telling the story, I got a glimpse of the Alps on the horizon and began to pull into a carpark to snap a photo. My pastor friend exclaimed, "There it is!" I thought he meant "there a mountain is," but as I looked into the carpark, I saw that he was referring to a German motorcycle with a sidecar near where I was parking. I approached the bike's owner, asking if we could take his picture. He graciously assented, then got off his motorcycle and gestured for me to get on! How could he have known about my friend's dream of a year before? Later, I thought about the encounter with the motorcycle. Only God could have timed and staged that event, but I wondered about the "Nazi German Greatcoat" my friend had seen me wear. I suddenly realized this was literally an invisible "Cloak of Shame" that Germany has worn for more than sixty years. It is this "cloak" that God is removing from Germany and from German people.

"O, Germany, it is time, it is time. For God will now remove the cloak of shame that has smothered you. Because of Hitler and because of the Nazi spirit and because of the way Germany abused and murdered the Jewish people, the people of God, a cloak of shame has become a mantle about you. You have not lifted your head, you have not sung with joy. But God is lifting the shame and even now brings a robe of righteousness, and you will lift up your heads and you will rejoice, and you will bring life and not death, you will bring freedom and not bondage. Germany is not the land of the Nazi and the persecution of God's people. Germany is the land of Luther and of "the just shall live by faith." Germany is the land of Guttenberg and the printing press that gave the Word of God to the whole earth. You will stand again in freedom and in rejoicing because God is lifting the cloak of shame that has robbed you of your inheritance. Lift up your heads and rejoice. Throw off the cloak of shame and put on the robe of heaven, because God has heard your cry and He has seen your heart. Your day of salvation is come. Your day of rejoicing has arrived. It is this day and not another day. It is this time and not another. You are the people, today is the day of freedom and liberty for Germany." I received the following on 14 September, 2005: MUSA OPIYO http://mannaword.no-ip.com  "ITS TIME TO REMOVE THE CLOAK OF SHAME" A Word for Germany 13 Sept 2005 In a vision the Lord showed me a person wearing a T-shirt with the name Germany printed across the front. I felt this was a representation of the nation of Germany. There were others around this person with the names of other nations hurling abuse, throwing objects such as stones and rocks at him and calling him all sorts of names. It seemed like this person was powerless to do anything but just take and accept every vile name that they were being given, readily accept it because of all that Germany, under Hitler, had facilitated in terms of the Holocaust and the mistreatment of millions of Jews. From the crowd, a huge heavy cloak was thrown in their direction and on it was the word shame printed on. It was so heavy that even while he (Germany) wore it, he stopped over from the weight of it and began to walk slowly away from the heckling crowd. The Lord then led to Zechariah 3:1-4 1 Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him. 2 And the LORD said to Satan, “The LORD rebuke you, Satan! The LORD who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?” 3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the Angel. 4 Then He answered and spoke to those who stood before Him, saying, “Take away the filthy garments from him.” And to him He said, “See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with rich robes.” And then the Lord spoke the following: My daughter Germany, for years you have reaped the affliction of the rejection of other nations because of the acts that were done under evil leaders. You have accepted the cloak of shame which Satan has put on you and you have been weighed down with this shame, but I the Lord am lifting this cloak of shame from you and I will replace it with a cloak of righteousness.  Because you have walked with your head low, your faith as a nation has also experienced an all time low. My ears have heard the word of even some of the missionaries I have sent to you who have said "It is a hard place. Surely we cannot minister revival in this place". Yet the Lord says am I not God? Is not My Word like hammer that breaks a rock in pieces ( Jer 23:29). This is the word I speak over you Germany. I speak release says the Lord. I speak release to your borders. I speak release to your harvest. I speak release to your deliverance this day. Do not accept what other nations have called you for so long.. For I have seen the repentance and the prayers that have come up to my throne from a faithful few. Did I not tell My servant Ezekiel that I sought for a man that would stand in the gap, and found none (Ez 22:30). I have also heard the cries of My faithful few intercessors who have cried out for revival and breakthrough, and you have cried out so long that you said 'Lord, are my prayers doing anything in this hour'. But I the Lord have heard the prayers of the faithful few that have stood in the gap for a nation that has gone wayward and has turned to secularism. Even as My servant Daniel offered up his prayers of repentance from the first day, when I sent My angel to him, having taken 21 days because of the Prince of Persia who rose up to oppose those prayers, so I have released My angels to work alongside those I have sent to Germany and from within her borders herself to co-labor with bringing in the harvest. Yet satan has released his own force to oppose you in this day. I say Germany arise. Even as I tell you now not to accept the cloak of shame that you have embraced for so long, so I also say do not accept what you deem in the natural as hard fallow ground. Do not accept the lies of Satan. Embrace the destiny and the call I have upon you. For I have called you to be indeed a lighthouse and a sign not only to your fellow European neighbours but also the nations of the earth, that there is no spiritual condition in a nation that I cannot work through to bring about breakthrough. I say arise and continue to pray for the breakthrough. Indeed I hear the effectual prayers of My righteous remnant that avail much. Embrace the call of heaven. Indeed throw of the cloak of shame, for I am replacing it with a new garment of righteousness.
