g2k - now the generation

Look on the fields . . .  I've been asked that question many times in                           Above montage' from ministry in India, Ecuador, El Salvador.                        the past few years.

First of all, we've been on a lengthy journey, but not the kind that fits on an "itinerary" page. We've  been through a number of changes since we last posted a ministry schedule here. There was a silent period as we walked through our own "dark night of the soul."

Like the famous "Footprints" poem, I've discovered that the single set of footprints in the sand belong to Jesus and not to me.

Secondly, I came to a place where meetings and schedules became important events to me; a gauge of "how I was doing in ministry. I've learned that I don't need to broadcast where I am and who I'm ministering with in order to do what God asks me to do.

I no longer accept every invitation to minister anywhere in the world I am asked. I am more focused, more narrow in my decisions to travel here and there. I'm not a "big shot" anymore (actually, I never was a "big shot." I just acted the part), I'm a child of the King. I'm not "in demand" at conferences and seminars any longer and I'm glad for that. I'm just greg, a man who lives by the mercy of God and who is available any time, any place to do whatever the King desires me to do.

I hope you're not offended by this explanation; it's not meant to be a judgment of other folks who keep their friends informed of their schedules and activities. I just wanted to answer those who have wondered why this page isn't full of dates and places any longer.

Oh, and I'll tell you also that we - my family - are happier than we've been in all our lives, and for that I give all the glory to Jesus.

Why does this page remain empty? Maybe for the same reason I want to remain empty - in order that if I am filled with anything, it is to be filled with the fullness of God.

in His amazing grace,

Greg
