Word by Greg
Austin February 14, 2000 at Firebase Rainier, Rainier Oregon on the
second Anniversary of the gathering called a "Night of Remembrance."
God told Moses' mother to hide him in the bulrushes (in Egypt).
God told Joseph to hide Jesus in Egypt. Egypt is a type of both sin
and the world.
Here, the implication may be applied as "the
world." The baby - the infant church - will be found "hiding" in the
midst of the world; in the unobvious place. The obvious place to
find the baby will be the place the enemy will first look, but the
baby will be hidden – in plain sight.
Recall also that Moses grew up in the obscurity of the shadow of the
ones who would sentence him to death. Jesus grew up in the obscurity
of
"normality." Who would have suspected that a young apprentice
carpenter
was in fact the greatest foe Satan would ever face.
So too, the emerging church will be hidden, then emerge - in
obscurity and plainness until "the fullness of time." Then will come
the unveiling. At the "unveiling" of Moses, he was disbelieved. When
Jesus uttered the phrases from Isaiah 61, he was disbelieved.
I feel an impression deep in my spirit which says, "Get Ready, Get
Ready Get Ready." These are days of preparation.
Get ready for:
1) A MURDER DECREE to silence the Deliverer
2) A WARNING FROM GOD by the Spirit
3) BEING HIDDEN AWAY IN THE WORLD for a time of Process
4) "HIDING" IN PLAIN SIGHT for acquaintance and humility
5) EMERGING IN OBSCURITY not from where you are expected to emerge
from
6) DISBELIEVED by those who wanted to disbelieve.
AND IN BOTH MOSES' AND JESUS' LIVES - DELIVERANCE, FIRST FOR A
NATION,
SECONDLY FOR THE WORLD.
God works by pattern. The Hebrew writer tells us plainly, "All these
were for our example..." And while Satan only changes tactics
when they cease to produce desired results,
----
God only changes Patterns when they cease to produce the end for
which they were designed.
Read the future -
look to the past -
see His Body, His church
emerging before the very
eyes of His persecutors.
